I recently made some signs for someone I know. She wanted four (and now five) made of her children’s birth info. She had found the image on the net and I didn’t know what materials to use so I used 5 x 7 flat canvas boards, painted them black and used expressionsvinyl.com vinyl 51 for the lettering. She loved them and requested a duplicate of one of the as a present for someone. They were fairly easy to make once I used Cricut Design space and it was just a matter of cutting it out and placing it on the boards. I think the trickiest part is getting the vinyl to release from the transfer paper.
Here is one of them. I used strong double sided adhesive to attach the ribbon.
Speaking of Design space, I watch YouTuber Melody Lane and she recently made a Peeking Cricut bug. I loved this little guy and wanted to make him so I did and placed him on my new Martha Stewart Cricut Air 2 that I won recently.
I used glow in the dark vinyl that I purchased from Expressionsvinyl.com. I loved the way it finally turned out. I didn’t like the white layer because it was bubbling in his eyes so I covered it with white card stock and it works. I can’t wait to put this little guy on other places in my craft room.
I have been a busy little crafter and also made some cards and t-shirts for Father’s day. I was inspired by Pinterest and loved the way it turned out. The images are from Cricut Design space. My dad loves to fish.
Well I have to go. My brother and his family are coming out here for the week and I have to get things ready so no crafting for me in the near future but I have some ideas and an order for a summer board already in the works for the beginning of July.
Happy June Crafting!
