May is for Makin

Hey Hey Hey!

I wanted to stop by and share something I made. My sister gave me a book for Mother’s Day. She loves Howard Stern and knew I love to read autobiographies so she bought me his new book, Howard Stern Comes Again. As I’m reading it, it occurs to me that I need a bookmark. So off to look in Cricut Design Space for one and I chose one to color. I have been in a coloring mood ever since I made a couple of cards with my new Stamplistic stamp of the month kit I received. I sent those two cards out last week and hope to hear about them soon and then I can post.

I also love watching MayMay Helms. She is a hoot and I love some of the things she makes and this month her challenge is called May is for Makin’. She is encouraging crafters to make something different or try a different technique. Of course I have many many crafts I want to complete but this bookmark is something I haven’t made in years.

The file was a print and cut. I have my printer upstairs so when I designed and printed it, I forgot to save the file so I used my paper trimmer to cut it out. Luckily, it was super easy to cut and instead of using my Spectrum Noir markers, I used my Stampin’ Write ones. I haven’t used these in about a year so it was good to see most still worked. I love all these vibrant colors and I could definitely see myself coloring all the time. I was thinking of making a video but who really wants to watch me color.

Anywho, I am submitting this to MayMay’s blog in hopes it inspires someone to take some time to craft.

Stay Makin!
