Stamplistic Stamp kit

Hello Crafty peoples,

It’s time to show you what I made for some special people. I used the awesome Daisy kit from Stamplistic and my cuttlebug -which is now discontinued ūüė¶

I played with all the dies using the spectrum Noir paper I had and various markers to make two cards. I had so much fun making these and trying to put them together. I marked the dies with a sharpie to note the top of the die to help me line things up. Then I used a wink of stella brush along with black 3D foam squares to pop up some layers.

Here are the finished products

This A2 sized card went to a friend who just moved into her new home. I used a cloud embossing folder and distress ink to accent each one. The congratulations is from a Martha Stewart cling stamp set I purchased from HSN years ago. It was originally too large for this card so I had to cut it down to size.

I made this daisy purplish and used all the same products as before but used¬†Maymay’s Stamp set¬†for the sentiments. I wish I took more close up pics of this card too before I sent it.

I can’t wait to see next month’s stamp set kit! I hardly ever used my cuttlebug and now I have more of a reason to cut out and make cards. Be sure to click on the highlighted links to connect to where you can find these products.

Have a scrappy day!

May is for Makin

Hey Hey Hey!

I wanted to stop by and share something I made. My sister gave me a book for Mother’s Day. She loves Howard Stern and knew I love to read autobiographies so she bought me his new book, Howard Stern Comes Again. As I’m reading it, it occurs to me that I need a bookmark. So off to look in Cricut Design Space for one and I chose one to color. I have been in a coloring mood ever since I made a couple of cards with my new Stamplistic stamp of the month kit I received. I sent those two cards out last week and hope to hear about them soon and then I can post.

I also love watching MayMay Helms. She is a hoot and I love some of the things she makes and this month her challenge is called May is for Makin’. She is encouraging crafters to make something different or try a different technique. Of course I have many many crafts I want to complete but this bookmark is something I haven’t made in years.

The file was a print and cut. I have my printer upstairs so when I designed and printed it, I forgot to save the file so I used my paper trimmer to cut it out. Luckily, it was super easy to cut and instead of using my Spectrum Noir markers, I used my Stampin’ Write¬†ones. I haven’t used these in about a year so it was good to see most still worked. I love all these vibrant colors and I could definitely see myself coloring all the time. I was thinking of making a video but who really wants to watch me color.

Anywho, I am submitting this to MayMay’s blog in hopes it inspires someone to take some time to craft.

Stay Makin!

May Crafty Hauls

Hello Hello everyone!

I wanted to show you some of the stuff I received this week. I have been trying to fight my allergies but they are getting the best of me so far. I am so tired of all the rain and hot and cold temps but that’s the midwest.

The first thing I want to show you is something I won!¬†Ken’s Kreations¬†had a giveaways for a whole week to celebrate reaching 100,000 Youtube subscribers which is super amazing. Ken and Sean are so funny and if you get a chance, you should check them out on youtube, facebook, and everywhere else you can. So I entered everyday and almost every giveaway and I won a 6 month subscription to¬†STAMPLISTIC¬†stamp of the month club. How awesome is that!! Here it is…

I can’t wait to play with this and make some awesome cards and layouts! I sent Ken and Sean an email thanking them so much for this wonderful gift. Stay tuned for some crafty fun with this set.

I also received some templates I ordered from Kiwi Lane. They are plastic templates to be used to create different designs on scrapbook layouts as well as cards. Here are the ones I got.

The Abbie Road one contains 6 templates and are various rolling hills and they can be hung up by a jump ring which is nice.¬† The second package of templates has 3 called the large bracket and I can’t wait to use them both in a layout. The backs of each package gives you ideas. I ordered these through my local scrapbook store,¬†Cafe Crop¬†and to order visit Kiwi Lane at¬†http://create.kiwilane.com/cafecrop¬†use customer code 825896

I did make a live video on Facebook for you to see these for yourself.

My order from Chalk Couture came in and I purchase the large greyson board along with a few transfers and accessories.

The marrakesh is the first one and a large one which would look great on pillow and that are my plans for it. The next one is the oval wreath and V monogram which I plan on placing on a wood pallet sign in the middle of a wreath. The braver, stronger….transfer has been a favorite of mine since I saw Ken make it on this youtube channel. Each of large letter were in glitter and they looked amazing. The last picture contains board erasers and placement tape for fonts and alignment of other transfers. It’s like washi tape. If you are interested in ordering some great home decor, visit my¬†website.

I made another video on my Facebook page with Chalk Couture

I can’t wait to show you the projects I will make with these items. Let me know what your favorite item and you would like to try.¬† If you are interested in any of these items please click on the links I have provided.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a wonderful Mother’s day!

Spring is here

Hello Crafty Peeps!

I have been a busy bee with different projects going on. My son, Manuel and I attended the Spring Jam Craft show. We made different items

Unfortunately, it was not a good turn out and we decided not to return to this venue again. We will try others and see which venues will be most profitable but the silver lining in this story is now we have product for other shows which we will be participating throughout the year. In May, we have a show with the Local Fire Dept Aux. as a fundraiser for them. We also will be participating in another craft show in July and one in December.

I did run a Flash Sale on my facebook page for the Easter items and some sold which is great.

My oldest turned 19! I can’t believe it. I have a 19 year old. WHAT?! I am so thankful and blessed but feel like time has gone much too quickly. It seems like I blink and another years flies by. He wanted to have dinner at his favorite restaurant and we did. He loved it.

Easter was fun. We decorated eggs on Good Friday and spent Easter Sunday together.

I made this Strawberry Trifle and the recipe is from All Recipes- I highly recommend it. It won’t let me link to this so search it out on their site and it’s the first one that says plainly-Strawberry Trifle. I made my own sweetened whipped cream instead of cool whip and I grated semi-sweet chocolate flakes on it. Everyone loved it and I will be making it again.

These are some of the standards we usually have for holiday dinners like the deviled eggs. I made them with bacon bits and they didn’t go over so well. I also made a taco dip and shrimp and cream cheese dip too along with ham rolls.

IMG_5675

I made these the night before with the help of Maymay. Here is the youtube video, https://youtu.be/gkDCDcrr2mE. She makes projects simple and easy and many times without big tools. This project was simple thank goodness. Lots of festive fun!

The weather is changing here in NW Indiana. With the warmer weather brings allergy season and mine are awful! I am hoping to not get a cold with the changing weather. I hate my allergies but it could always be worse I suppose…

I did do a Chalk Couture live and made this

IMG_5638

and I made this for my dad

IMG_5641

So it has been a productive April and I hope my allergies will go away soon and let me breathe in peace.

What have you done this Spring season? Reach out and drop me a line on what’s new in your world. I’d love to hear it!

Thanks for stopping by!

What does Scrappy mean to you?

Hey everyone!

I have been busy working on various projects for customers and my upcoming craft show on April 6th at the Lake County Fairgrounds in CP. Can you believe it will be APRIL soon? Almost 4 months into the year and it seems like time is flying by. The weather is changing from Winter to Spring soon- it snowed yesterday so I am hoping! This change is inspiring me to think about some things in my life- one of them is why did I name my company SCRAPPY T’s Creations.

Well…

It started as a play on the word scrapbooking since I love it so much. I have been an avid scrapbooker well over 20 years. It helps me remember the precious moments in my life and my loved ones lives. I love getting the chance to create a great Layout and journaling the what, when, who of it all. I feel it is so important not only for me to remember but to whoever gets these memories once I’m gone. I have led a blessed life full of ups and downs. I want my story to be told for generations to come and for those I love to know I loved them with all my heart and I felt that they were so important in my life that their story should be told at that moment.

Sometimes, I feel overwhelmed with all the memories I haven’t documented. I have pages and pages of page kits needing to be put together and scrapped but I will hopefully get to it one day. Sometimes life gets in the way and that’s what the pictures are for but that’s an entry for another day. ūüėČ

The Scrappy in Scrappy T’s now means that I am a survivor. I am now a single mom and taking care of my dad which has its challenges. There are days where I need to be scrappy-bold when having to make decisions for my family and there are days where I have to scrappy-fiscally savvy and try to get through life frugally-which as a crafter can be challenging at times.

I am trying to start this tiny little business of mine and it’s hard. I don’t know what I’m doing most days and I think I should give up the other days but it fills me with joy to create something someone loves. It’s fun to design and create something from nothing and that is scrappy too.

So I will live this Scrappy life the best way I can. I am grateful for the opportunities to be creative and I look forward to each and every project I can create. I hope you can find and embrace the Scrappy side of you.

Hello Fellow Crafters!

Today is my day to show you what I made with¬†this¬†adorable SVG from¬†Miss Kate Cuttables, She has an array of fun images, papers and other crafty goodness. There are so many fantastic and cute SVG’s and it was very hard to choose just one but I knew when I saw these images, I had to make this Layout

I used this paper

IMG_E5317

to tell the story our scrapbook weekend getaway. My Cousin Gina, Aunt Jane and I had lots of fun scrapbooking together, eating yummy food and just relaxing while being crafty. I was able to use a project life 4×6 ruled journaling card that I hid on the second page of the layout as well as some various 6×6 DCWV paper pads to cut out the SVG images.

This title was super easy to put together and I debated on whether I should cut it out individually on my¬†Cricut Maker or print and cut it out. I’m glad I chose the latter. It made the page come alive. I also loved the images that came along with this file. Now that some of¬† Miss Kate Cuttables images are on Cricut Design Space, I am looking forward to using more of her designs in my projects. Please visit her¬†blog¬†to get more inspiration from her amazing SVG files, papers and more.

Please be sure to click on all the links I used if you want to know more about these files or the items I used and visit my blog to see some more projects I have made with Miss Kate Cuttables files.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a Scrappy Day!
